FAQ
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many of the people I work with are successful, capable individuals who feel stuck in recurring patterns, disconnected in their relationships, or weighed down by unresolved trauma. If something in your life isn’t working the way you’d like, therapy can provide the space to better understand yourself and create meaningful change.
What issues do you specialize in?
My practice focuses on trauma, addiction, compulsive sexual behavior, financial disorders, and the unique challenges many high-achieving individuals experience. I also work with concerns related to relationships, intimacy, shame, attachment, and unresolved childhood experiences. Every treatment plan is tailored to your unique goals and experiences.
What can I expect during the first session?
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I’ll ask about your history, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve, while giving you plenty of space to ask questions about my approach. Together, we’ll begin identifying the patterns and goals that will guide our work.
What types of therapy do you use?
I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), EMDR, and Post Induction Therapy (PIT). Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, I tailor each session to your unique needs, goals, and life experiences.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. I provide secure online therapy for adults located anywhere in California, as well as in-person therapy from my office in Santa Monica. Many clients appreciate the flexibility of virtual sessions while receiving the same personalized care.
How long does therapy usually last?
The length of therapy depends on your goals, the concerns you’re bringing, and the pace that feels right for you. Some people benefit from shorter-term, focused work, while others choose to engage in a longer therapeutic process. We’ll regularly revisit your goals and adjust our work together as you grow.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. Many clients choose to use their out-of-network benefits, and I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to learn more about your specific coverage.
What are your session fees?
Session fees vary depending on the type of service provided, including individual therapy, intensives, or concierge therapy. I’m happy to discuss current rates during your consultation so you have a clear understanding before getting started.
Is everything we discuss confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is extremely important to me, and what we discuss in therapy is kept confidential except in the limited situations required by law, such as concerns involving immediate safety or mandated reporting. I’ll review confidentiality with you in detail during our first session.
I've been to therapy before. How is your approach different?
Many of the people I work with have had therapy in the past and still feel like something is missing. My approach focuses on understanding and healing the deeper patterns driving your struggles rather than simply managing symptoms. Together, we’ll work toward lasting change that feels integrated and meaningful.
I've been successful in my career. Why do I still feel stuck?
Success doesn’t necessarily protect us from trauma, anxiety, addiction, or relationship struggles. In fact, many people become exceptionally good at performing while quietly carrying emotional pain beneath the surface. Therapy can help you understand those deeper patterns so your external success begins to feel more aligned with your internal experience.
How do I get started?
The first step is scheduling a consultation. We’ll discuss what’s bringing you to therapy, determine whether we’re a good fit, and answer any questions you may have about the process. If we decide to move forward together, we’ll schedule your first session and begin building a plan tailored to your goals.
